The Watch
.
The Heuer Silverstone was introduced in 1974 to demonstrate the manufacturer's close relationship with motorsport, Heuer named this model after the famous Silverstone Circuit in the UK. The racetrack hosts prestigious motorsport races since 1950 and continues to thrill motorsport fans around the world to this day.
.
The Silverstone was a replacement for the Monaco line. Where the Monaco was very square, the Silverstone has had the edges softened into an almost ‘television’ shape. The Silverstone line was very straightforward., Heuer introduced the same watch with three different dial color options, and that was it. The dial colors were blue, brown fumé, and red.
.
The cool fumé dial wows with its magical colour transitions. The metallic surface has a brown-gray starburst glimmer.
.
The driving force of this Heuer Silverstone is the automatic chronograph calibre 12 - the successor to the famous Calibre 11.The chrono pushers are the original steel ones on the right side of the case, with the winding crown situated on the left side of the case – we love the balanced look of this.
