The Watch
.
In 1963 Ed Heuer showcased the very first Heuer Carrera, named Carrera for the extremely dangerous Carrera Panamericana race through Mexico, at the Basel Fair in the ref 2447, which was a three register Chronograph, very shortly after Heuer released the "Heuer 45" a two register Chronograph or the reference 3647s, which embodied Ed Heuer's vision for the Heuer Carrera line being highly legible and sleek, but with curves in all the right places. It is this stunning simplicity that made the Heuer Carrera such an iconic model throughout all walks of life.
.
This extremely handsome Carrera 45 is powered by the Valjoux 92, which is a version of the iconic Valjoux 72 but without the hour register. The 36mm Case gently curves over your wrist with acute angled but pleasingly sharp twisted lugs. The well proportioned two-register Silver Dial really is the embodiment of Heuer's vision and for a Watch designed 60 years ago is incredibly contemporary, whether you're dressing down or up, this guy has your back.
