The Watch

.

The Patek Philippe Calatrava is one of the most iconic watch collections of all time, with each of its time-only members carrying a distinct, symbolic weightiness in their lightweight, formal wear.

This example is the ref. 3440, dating from 1960. The extract confirms the Manufacture date and lists the date it was sold November 19th 1960. The Reference 3440 is considered one of the most intriguing and frankly under-valued automatic calatravas in the world of vintage Patek collecting. The 18ct Gold Case is a chunky screw back. It's powered by the automatic calibre 27-460. A very interesting attribute of the reference 3440 is the applied hour markers at 12 o’clock with three sections.

This guy comes accompanied by the Patek Extract from the Archives (500CHF Value) and a period Genuine Patek 18ct Gold Buckle.
