The Watch
 .

Prior to the start of the 20th Century, Patek Philippe was mostly known for their top quality Pocket Watches, as they were more popular and widely used by the public. They were commissioned to make great works for aristocrats around Europe, for example their first ever Wristwatch was produced for Countess Kostowisz of Hungary.

.

Fast forward to the 1920's and Wristwatches were increasingly being spotted on the wrists of wealthy businessmen as the popularity of the Wristwatch grew Worldwide. Today's example is a wonderful curved 18k Gold piece dating to around 1926. This shape was produced by Patek with comfort in mind as the watch wraps beautifully around the Wrist.
.

Beating away inside is the Patek Philippe calibre 9"' movement, which has a lever escapement. The original dial is typical of the 20's with large Arabic Radium Numerals.

.

This guy comes accompanied by a Genuine Patek Strap and Genuine Patek 18ct Gold Buckle.
